ENTOD Pharma Celebrates Independence Day with India’s Largest Eye Health Drive

Eye health drive India

13th August 2025: Commemorating India’s 79th Independence Day, ENTOD Pharmaceuticals, in collaboration with leading eye care professionals and hospitals across the country, is spearheading a nationwide eye health campaign from 11th to 18th August 2025, aimed at empowering millions to take charge of their vision health. The week-long initiative strategically targets metro and regional hubs, including Mumbai, Kerala, Karnataka, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Odisha.

This initiative rolls out three focused programs addressing major eye health concerns, covering all age groups. Free Glaucoma Eye Check-up Camps for adults aged 40–60, using advanced tono meter machines for early detection; Myopia Awareness Camps for school-age children (5–14 years) and their families, highlighting early screening and preventive habits; and Dry Eye Awareness Camps for working professionals and adults aged 25–60 with high screen exposure, focusing on recognising symptoms, understanding risks, and adopting protective measures. Participants will learn to identify symptoms, understand associated risks, and adopt preventive strategies to protect eye health in the digital age. To amplify outreach and encourage participation, the campaign will also promote its message through the official hashtags #GetGlaucomaTested, #FreedomFromMyopia, and BlinkToComfort.

Speaking about the campaign, Mr. Nikkhil K Masurkar, CEO of ENTOD Pharmaceuticals, said, “On this Independence Day, we want to inspire people to claim their freedom from preventable eye diseases through awareness and early detection. Glaucoma, myopia, and dry eye disease often go undiagnosed until it’s too late. Our aim is to equip communities with the knowledge and resources needed to protect their vision.”

The campaign mobilizes over 1,500 doctors, 2,000+ volunteers, and 475 hospitals and clinics across the country and is expected to benefit more than 200,000 individuals through free screenings, interactive educational sessions, and multi-language resources tailored for children, working professionals, and older adults.

By fostering early detection and advocating preventive eye care, ENTOD Pharmaceuticals aims to spark a collective movement for “Eye Health Independence”, building a healthier, more aware India with better vision for all.
