16th September 2025: Embassy Group hosted the landmark 10th edition of its flagship cycling initiative, Pedal for the Planet, at Embassy Springs today. Celebrating a decade of raising awareness on sustainable living and eco-friendly commuting, the event saw 1400 enthusiastic participants from professional cyclists, amateurs, families, and children, all uniting to pedal for the environment.
Certified by the Karnataka Amateur Cycling Association, this year’s edition featured multiple race categories, including Pro-Elite, Amateur, Fun Ride – Open, and Fun Ride – Kids, ensuring inclusivity for riders across all skill levels. The vibrant atmosphere reflected Bengaluru’s growing passion for cycling and its collective commitment to sustainability.
True to its ethos, Pedal for the Planet 2025 went beyond sport to create meaningful environmental and social impact. Proceeds from the event will support Colours of Life, a non-profit organisation that provides education to underprivileged children from ‘cradle to career’. A tree will be planted for every registration, while eco-friendly measures such as eliminating single-use plastics, serving filtered water in traditional matkas, and ensuring waste segregation for composting or recycling were strictly followed. The lead vehicle for the races was an electric car, underscoring the event’s focus on clean energy practices.
Speaking on the milestone, Emanda Vaz, Country Head, Marketing and PR, Embassy Developments Limited, said: “As we celebrate the 10th edition of Pedal for the Planet, we are proud to see how this initiative has grown into a citywide movement for sustainability. Cycling is not only a healthier and greener lifestyle choice but also a unifying activity that inspires collective action for the environment. This event reflects Embassy Group’s continued commitment to creating meaningful impact by building communities that are more conscious, responsible, and future-ready.”
Over the past decade, Pedal for the Planet has evolved into Bengaluru’s largest and most anticipated cycling event, bringing citizens together not just for fitness and recreation but as a collective force for environmental action. The 10th edition stands as a testament to the power of community-driven movements in shaping a more conscious and sustainable future.
