Brother India drives meaningful social impact with its Education Support Program in Belagavi

30th September 2025: Brother International (India) Private Limited (“Brother India”), a subsidiary of Brother Industries Ltd., Japan, and a leading provider of printing and imaging solutions, has strengthened its CSR initiative in partnership with Mahesh Foundation, Belagavi. The initiative focuses on education support for 375 underprivileged children for FY 2025-26, ensuring access to quality learning opportunities, healthcare, and holistic development.

For over 17 years, Mahesh Foundation has been working to uplift underprivileged and socially disadvantaged children through its Care Home, which provides shelter, nutrition, healthcare, and education. To date, the foundation has directly impacted the lives of over 4,200 children, supported 81,000 families affected by HIV, enabled the education of 38,000 underprivileged children, and reached out to 900,000 students with HIV/AIDS awareness programs.

The CSR collaboration with Brother India will further strengthen Mahesh Foundation’s efforts to empower children with knowledge and skills, helping them achieve one of our Sustainable Development Goals, i.e., Quality of Education.

Alok Nigam, Managing Director, Brother International (India) Private Limited, said, “I would like to thank Mahesh Foundation for giving us the opportunity to support underprivileged children. It is truly inspiring to see the impact being created here. However, I also understand that there are still thousands of such children around the Belagavi area who remain outside the fold of education, and I sincerely hope Mahesh Foundation will continue its efforts to bring them into the mainstream of society. We are proud to be associated with Mahesh Foundation and their mission. I firmly believe that these children, with the right guidance and opportunities, will go a long way in life and achieve great success. My best wishes to the entire Mahesh Foundation team and to the children for the future ahead.”

Mahesh Jadhav, Founder of Mahesh Foundation, said, “Thank you, Brother International (India) Private Limited, for your continued support and trust in Mahesh Foundation. It is because of companies like Brother International that our mission has been made possible. Though your company is located far from us, you have recognized our work and chosen to stand with us year after year. This recognition and support inspire us to work even harder for society. We sincerely hope this partnership will continue to grow and benefit many more children in the days to come.”

The reinforcement of this initiative was marked by a ceremony on September 24, 2025, at Mahesh Foundation, Belagavi. By partnering with Mahesh Foundation, Brother India is reinforcing its commitment to sustainable community development while also advancing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. This initiative supports SDG 4 – Quality Education– by ensuring that children from disadvantaged backgrounds have access to equal learning opportunities and the resources needed for their growth.
