Muthoot Finance Ltd. Supports Sakhi One Stop Centre, Kakkanad, with Wheelchairs and Stretchers

10th October 2025: Muthoot Finance Ltd., through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, has extended support to the Sakhi One Stop Centre (OSC) in Kakkanad, Ernakulam, by donating wheelchairs and stretchers to aid in the mobility and care of women beneficiaries. Ms. Parvathy Gopakumar IAS, Assistant Collector, Ernakulam, and Shri. Vinodkumar K S – Regional Manager, Ernakulam, Muthoot Finance Ltd handed over the wheelchairs and stretchers to Smt. Jeeja S – Women Protection Officer and Smt. Liya A. S – Center Administrator, Sakhi One Stop Centre. Muthoot Finance officials including Shri. Renjith US – Branch Manager, Kakkanad CSEZ, Smt. Asha Sivaraman – Branch Manager, Kakkanad and Mr. Padmakumar P – Content Manager, Corporate Communications Department were present during the occasion. The initiative is aimed at making the Kakkanad OSC compliant with Government guidelines mandating all One Stop Centres to be disabled-friendly. The essential medical equipment donated included two Wheelchairs, one Folding Stretcher, and one Stretcher Trolley.

The Sakhi One Stop Centre is a government-supported initiative operating under the Ministry of Women and Child Development. It offers integrated services to women affected by violence, providing a single-window facility for medical care, Police assistance, Legal aid, Psychological Counselling, and Temporary Shelter. The centre ensures a coordinated response to various forms of abuse, including physical, emotional, sexual, social, or economic. Operational since October 2019, the Kakkanad OSC has served 1,950 women so far, supporting around 30 beneficiaries every month. It functions under the direct supervision of the District Collector. This initiative reflects Muthoot Finance Ltd.’s commitment to supporting critical social infrastructure and contributing to the welfare of the community.

The support reinforces the spirit of shared responsibility in building a society that provides dignity, safety, and equal opportunity to every woman in need.”
