Seclore Joins Hands with Khushiyaan Foundation for a Beach Cleanup Drive at Juhu, 360 Kgs of Plastic Waste Cleared for Recycling into Eco-Friendly Public Products

Khushiyaan Foundation plastic cleanup

3rd July 2025: As part of our ongoing commitment to social and environmental responsibility, Team Seclore, in collaboration with Khushiyaan Foundation, successfully conducted a beach cleaning initiative at Mumbai’s iconic Juhu Beach.

Our oceans produce over 50% of the oxygen we breathe, so polluted oceans aren’t just a harm to marine life, they’re a risk to polluting our air. As one of Mumbai’s most frequented coastlines, Juhu Beach was a deliberate choice as it faces constant waste accumulation, from careless littering by visitors to debris washed ashore by the sea. By focusing on such a high-footfall area, Seclore aimed to not only restore its natural beauty but also drive awareness about the importance of responsible waste disposal.

While Seclore is known for protecting sensitive data and empowering organizations with complete control over critical information, this initiative reflects another side of Seclore’s mission—driving meaningful impact beyond the digital world. Khushiyaan Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to building a clean, healthy, and flourishing India, shares this vision.

Their mission is rooted in creating real-world change by setting an example, spreading awareness, and encouraging communities to take ownership of their surroundings. Seclore, in collaboration with the Khushiyaan Foundation, collected over 360 kgs of plastic waste—now set to be recycled into durable, eco-friendly products like benches, dustbins, and garbage bags. This not only reduces the strain on landfills and marine ecosystems but also supports Mumbai’s underserved ragpicker community, which comprises just over 40,000 individuals serving a city of over millions of residents.

Following the cleanup, Team Seclore participated in an engaging session on plastic segregation and sustainability, reinforcing how small actions tie into larger environmental outcomes.

Speaking about the initiative, Ms. Shraddha Reghe, Vice President – People Practices, Seclore, said: “At Seclore, we believe environmental responsibility goes hand-in-hand with the entrepreneurial spirit we foster. It’s about taking initiative, owning the impact we create, and inspiring others to act. The beach cleaning drive wasn’t just about removing waste—it reflected how small, bold actions can lead to meaningful change. Partnering with Khushiyaan Foundation allowed us to channel this mindset into a cause that’s both urgent and enduring.”

Rooted in holistic economic development and active community engagement, Seclore’s CSR efforts go beyond environmental conservation. This initiative—exemplifying our commitment to environmental stewardship, collective action, and the transformative power of community—is part of Seclore’s broader CSR and Sustainability charter, with several upcoming efforts aimed at combining technological progress with social good. Whether it’s through digital innovation or ecological responsibility, Seclore continues to demonstrate that forward-thinking companies have a key role to play in shaping a more sustainable future.
