Muthoot Finance Extends Disaster Relief Support to Sea Surge Affected Families of School Students in Chellanam Panchayat, Kochi

CSR Times Muthoot Aids Sea Surge Victims

Muthoot Finance, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative under the Disaster Relief Programme, conducted a food kit distribution drive for students and families of St. Joseph LP School, Cheriyakadav and St. Antony LPS, Kannamaly in Chellanam, Ernakulam. The initiative comes as timely support for families affected by severe sea surge and monsoon-induced flooding, which continues to disrupt lives across the coastal region. The distribution drive was inaugurated by Shri. Vinod Kumar KS – Regional Manager, Ernakulam in the esteemed presence of Shri. Janson Varghese – Assistant Manager, CSR, Shri. Mathew Mathai – Branch Manager, Kumbalangi, Smt. Dhanya Anil Kumar – Branch Manager, Thoppumpady and Shri. Padmakumar P – Content Manager, Corporate Communications, Muthoot Finance Ltd.

Smt. Mariya Goretty – Headmistress, St. Joseph LP School, Cheriyakadav coordinated the distribution drive at the school in the presence of Smt. Treesa Jesla – PTA, President, teaching staff and parents. Smt. Brijit Mary – Headmistress, St. Antony LPS, Kannamaly coordinated the distribution drive at the school in the presence of other teaching staff, students and their parents. The initiative covered a total of 220 students (also including the kids of nine Anganwadi functioning in the locality) many of whom belong to fishing families severely affected by disrupted livelihoods and damaged homes due to sea surge.
