Silvin Additives Empowers Young Minds through its CSR Programme on NLP

Future workforce readiness

16th September 2025: Silvin Additives, a leading manufacturer of PVC and CPVC additives, is set to expand its pioneering education initiative, introducing Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to school students in Bodeli in Vadodara district. The initiative is a part of Silvin’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The programme aims to equip young learners with life skills such as confidence, resilience, focus, and emotional intelligence, qualities that are becoming increasingly important in today’s rapidly changing world.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a psychological framework that studies how people think, communicate, and behave. By offering tools to reframe challenges, build confidence, and sharpen focus, it equips learners with strategies for both personal and professional success. For students in particular, it provides practical life skills such as enhancing memory, improving public speaking, and managing stress, preparing them for careers, relationships, and personal growth.

Silvin has partnered with NLP coaches for physical NLP sessions in Bodeli. Since its launch, the initiative has directly benefited more than 1,400 school students, who have reported higher self-confidence, sharp focus, and stronger motivation.

To build on the initiative’s success, Silvin has collaborated with communication coach Subhas Kartik to launch the “Students’ Success Series”, a free YouTube-based NLP course designed for schoolchildren. The programme, which has reached thousands of school students, blends interactive exercises with simple, age-appropriate applications, making it accessible to students from diverse backgrounds. Silvin plans to scale the initiative to reach students across Gujarat, positioning “Students Success Series” as the cornerstone of this expansion.

Jagat Chokshi, Managing Director of Silvin Additives, said, “At Silvin, we are guided by the belief that creating lasting change is the true measure of success. The NLP initiative has resulted in significant benefits, and we are keen to expand it to other cities. It will democratise access to NLP learning and ensure more young minds are empowered to reach their full potential.”

Bodeli holds special significance for Silvin as the birthplace of the founder, Mr. Pradip Chokshi, and the site of its manufacturing facility. Members of the promoter family, including Jagat and Mirang Chokshi, spent their formative years in the town, further strengthening Silvin’s longstanding connection to Bodeli.

“While Bodeli is culturally rich, the educational infrastructure faces challenges. Not just NLP, but even our other CSR initiatives are dedicated to bridging these gaps and contributing to sustainable development in the region,” said Mr. Chokshi.

Silvin has steadily scaled up its CSR expenditure in recent years. From Rs. 9 lakhs in 2021–22, spending has more than quadrupled, surpassing Rs. 36 lakhs in 2024–25, with Rs. 63.5 lakh earmarked for the current year.
