CSR In India

15th October 2025: CanSupport, India’s leading provider of palliative care, launched the evocative photographic exhibit Touching Lives by renowned British photographer Barbara Hind at a Charity Dinner hosted to commemorate World Hospice and Palliative Care Day (WHPCD), at CSOI, Chanakya Puri, New Delhi.

Touching Lives is a moving collection of photographs that captures the dignity, resilience, and humanity of people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as the compassion of those who care for them. Barbara Hind, known for her sensitive and socially committed lens, has travelled extensively to document stories that go beyond illness — stories of love, hope, and courage in the face of adversity.

Through this exhibit, CanSupport aims to raise awareness about the importance of palliative care and to honour the journeys of patients and families who remind us that every moment of life is precious. The launch of Touching Lives added a profound dimension to the commemorative Charity Dinner, which brought together supporters, friends, and well-wishers to strengthen the cause of palliative care.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ambika Rajvanshi, CEO CanSupport, said, “Barbara Hind’s work embodies the essence of palliative care — it is about seeing the person beyond the illness and celebrating their spirit. We are honoured to present this exhibit at our WHPCD Charity Dinner.”

The exhibit was inaugurated at CSOI, Chanakya Puri, alongside the commemorative gathering. Proceeds from the evening will go towards sustaining CanSupport’s free-of- charge palliative care services for cancer patients and their families.
